Following the successful establishment of the Australian Digital Health Agency brand guidelines, it became evident that several of the Agency’s flagship products required their own dedicated frameworks. While the Agency brand acted as the overarching authority, products such as My Health Record and services like Provider Connect Australia operated with minimal documentation, often little more than a logo and a basic colour profile. This lack of detail created challenges when outsourcing creative work or guiding industry partners who needed to integrate these brands into their own digital environments.

To address these gaps, I developed a series of product-specific style guides and partner toolkits. These documents were designed to be shared with external providers, healthcare partners, and internal teams to ensure a unified visual language. The objective was to provide sufficient guidance to maintain consistency while carefully managing the relationship between the product brands and the core Agency identity, empowering third-party stakeholders to use our logos and branding correctly and reducing the need for constant manual oversight.

My Health Record

My Health Record is Australia’s secure, consumer-controlled digital summary of key health information — immunisations, allergies, medications, and hospital discharge summaries. It allows individuals and authorised healthcare providers to manage and share information securely online to improve care coordination.

The ‘My Health Record Brand Identity Guide’ was developed to reflect this high level of trust and personal agency, with specific instructions on maintaining brand integrity across diverse health settings — so whether it appears in a private health app or a public hospital, it remains recognisable as a secure and reliable national service.

Provider Connect Australia

Provider Connect Australia (PCA) is a free initiative of the Agency designed to reduce administrative burdens for healthcare providers. It allows services to update business information such as opening hours and practitioner details in a single central location, which then automatically distributes the data to chosen business partners. For this service, I developed a Partner Toolkit focused on ease of use and integration, providing clear parameters for how the PCA brand should be represented by the partners who receive its data.
